högskolepedagogiska konferens, med 450 deltagare i Umeå. Temat var “Högre
utbildning i och för förändring”. Vi har pratat med tre lärare som deltog i
konferensen för första gången – möt Sofia Ahlberg, lektor vid engelska
institutionen och prodekan för utbildning och samverkan
vid språkvetenskapliga fakulteten, Lisa Fredriksson Carreras, adjunkt vid
institutionen för farmaceutisk biovetenskap och samordnare för
apotekarprogrammet, och Christopher Robin Samuelsson, postdoktor i

EUA, European University Association, ger ut rapporter om aktuella teman inom högre utbildning. Till exempel kan du läsa om Flexible Learning and Teaching (2024).
Författarna menar att flexibelt lärande är en viktig
framtidsfråga inom högre utbildning, identifierar utmaningar och ger exempel på
hur flexibelt lärande kan omsättas i praktiken.

New Resource Pages on AI
Have you seen the new resource pages on AI in teaching? These pages are designed to support both departments
and individual teachers in managing the opportunities and challenges related to
generative AI in education and assessment.
AI Week
From Monday, October 28 to Wednesday,
November 6, an AI Week will be arranged with both online and on-campus workshops on topics
such as the use of generative AI in specific teaching situations and course
development phases.
| | | | Just before Midsummer, Sweden's national
conference on teaching and learning in Higher education, NU 2024, took place in Umeå. Around 450 participants gathered
to explore the conference theme: “Higher
Education: Shaping and Responding to Change”. We have talked to three teachers
who attended the conference for the first time — meet Sofia Ahlberg, Senior
Lecturer at the Department of English and Deputy Dean for Education and
Collaboration at the Faculty of Languages; Lisa Fredriksson Carreras, Lecturer
at the Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences and Coordinator for the
Pharmacy Program; and Christopher Robin Samuelsson, Postdoctoral Researcher in
Physics Education at the Department of Physics and Astronomy.

Interesting reports from the EUA
The EUA, European
University Association,
publishes reports on current themes in higher education. For example, you can
read about Flexible Learning and Teaching (2024). The authors argue that flexible learning is a crucial future issue in higher education, identify challenges, and provide examples of how flexible learning can be implemented in practice.
