New year, new...?
Dear friends of the Pufendorf IAS,
The new year has begun with great momentum - applications for next year’s Themes have come in, we are preparing to welcome new international fellows, and we are countering the winter blues with a lunch concert by the Lynxs Quartet. Their performance, Through the Looking Glass, will take us on a musical journey, building a baroque musical piece from a foundation of folk music tradition.
A new milestone for the Pufendorf Institute is our participation in the NORDIAS Visiting Fellows Programme. Last spring, we hosted a fellow from the Turku Institute of Advanced Studies, and this year, researchers from last year’s Themes will have the opportunity to visit one of our sister institutes in the Nordic countries. This network of Nordic Institutes broadens our horizons, and the Visiting Fellows Programme is a valuable way to strengthen connections between these unique institutions. This is one of the programmes in our newly launched Alumni Network.
We are also pleased to have received fifteen new applications for Themes at the Pufendorf Institute for the upcoming fall term. These applications demonstrate our ability to engage new researchers and foster dynamic collaborations across disciplinary boundaries - encouraging bold, innovative ideas that push the limits of traditional research.
