transcriptomics and spatial proteomics to identify fourteen previously
missing proteins in the human ovary.
Azole fungicides impair spermatogenesis in peripubertal Xenopus tropicalis
Researchers
from the Department of Organismal Biology, Uppsala University together
with collaborators from the University of Perugia and Stockholm
University found that two common azole fungicides affect the histology
and gene expression in testis of young Xenopus tropicalis, raising
concern that such exposure may lead to impaired fertility.
Researchers from the Departments of Clinical Sciences, and Biomedical Science and Veterinary Public Health, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences together with collaborator from Karolinska Institute investigated associations between biomarkers for testicular cell function. They found that anti-müllerian hormone correlated with sperm head defects, and alkaline phosphate with higher total sperm count.
The
meeting was given at Humanities Theatre on 17 October 2024 and included
