Railwayman changes track to join SCI management team
After many years as director of the KTH Railway Group, Professor Sebastian Stichel has decided to dedicate more time to his other passion: faculty renewal. He is the new Deputy Head of the SCI School and future FFA.
Faculty Board kickstarts with new delegation scheme
The School's newly appointed Faculty Board held its first meeting on 22 January, focusing on getting started working together and adopting a new framework for decision-making and delegation. The next step will be a two-day workshop with the School's management team. The aim: to shape the dimensions and development of the Faculty and educational programmes at SCI.

Research
Vinnova: planning grant 2024
Vinnova funds international project preparations in Sustainable Industry, Sustainable Communities, Sustainable Precision Health and Sustainable Mobility. Vinnova's support is up to 500,000 SEK for coordinators and 300,000 SEK for participants. Self-financing of 20% is required.
The Promobilia Foundation announces grants up to 500,000 SEK/year for research to enhance the lives of those with disabilities. The aim is to support the development of assistive technologies and improve mobility and quality of life.
Fika Chat on the international dimension of programmes
Stefan Östlund, Vice President
for International Relations, joins the podcast on 21 February to discuss the
international dimension of KTH's programmes.
Register for courses in higher education pedagogy given by KTH or continuing
courses by SU and KI. First come, first served, but register by 31 May at the
latest.
After 22 days in space has
Swedish astronaut Marcus Wandt returned to Earth and will visit KTH to talk about his space journey. You are all welcome to listen to Marcus share his incredible experience. The event is organised by the Swedish Space Agency and KTH Space Centre.

KTH Language and Communication offers intensive courses in May and June in Swedish as a foreign language on the A1-, A2- and B1 levels. The application period has started; sign up now!
Cybercampus Sweden at KTH is inaugurated and ready to kick-off. Its purpose is to strengthen both the supply of skills and research in cyber security. The investment is a national initiative and a collaboration between universities.
Christina Boman, Head of Security, says we need to create a better security culture at KTH. She has now produced two printed materials to promote security on our premises, reduce theft, and help everyone act wisely in difficult and threatening situations.
