SASNET Newsletter – November 2023
From the DirectorWe
at SASNET are fortunate to be able to, on a regular basis, welcome guests to
Lund who give truly fascinating, timely and important talks. During the past
few months, we have had the privilege to arrange seminars attending to such
varied themes as extreme poverty and marginalisation in Bangladesh, the present
situation in the Kashmir region, and the current
state and likely future of higher education in India. | | | | Ted Svensson, Director of SASNET.
We are also proud to have organised, with Doc Lounge Malmö, a screening of 'While We Watched', which was followed by a director's talk. We genuinely appreciate all the support we receive from our incoming guests and from those who participate in our events – many of which can be attended online.
In line
with this, I am keen to advertise next year's SASNET Annual Lecture, which will
be delivered by Professor Shirin Rai (SOAS, London).
We sincerely look forward to welcoming Professor Rai to Lund.
