Dear , you are receiving this newsletter because you are part of the Network for LCA, climate and buildings that was formed after the conference Nordic Climate Forum for Construction in October 2019.
Documentation from the Nordic Climate forum for Construction 27 August 2020
Nordic Climate
forum for Construction was held for the second time in August 2020. Presentations on status and current issues from authority, academia and industry as well as presentation on two issues related to Nordic harmonization, a joint database and upcoming regulation in Sweden, filled the morning and the afternoon gave room for two rounds of Round table discussions.
Recordings and presentations from the Forum is now available at Swedish Life Cycle Centers webpage.
To give you a
sneak peak you will find the opening words from Lise Aaen Kobberholm
below and in a few weeks you will also get a summary of the Round table discussions that was a big part of the Forum.
The Nordic Climate forum for Construction is planned as a yearly event for discussions with
policymakers and stakeholders from industry, the academia and the
finance sector. Next year Iceland is hosting the conference.
About the Forum
The Nordic ministers decided in 2018 that harmonization of building
regulation should be strengthen. This led to the first Nordic Climate
forum for Construction in 2019, which became the starting point of an
effort towards Nordic harmonization for low carbon emissions from
construction.
The Danish Transport, Construction and Housing Authority in
collaboration with the Nordic building authorities, Nordic Council of
ministers, and Swedish Life Cycle Center invited policy-makers, academia
and the construction industry to participate in the work on Nordic
harmonization on climate emissions.
Purpose –to have a dialog about the Nordic approach for steering the
climate impact from the building environment in order to reduce the
construction industry’s climate emissions.
Objective –getting
a common picture of the latest situation in the Nordic countries when
it comes to regulation on climate impact from the built environment from
a life-cycle perspective. Get inputs on the work that has, and will be
done, and to understand the needs and gaps of the authority, academia and
industry
