Join
us for this year’s Nordic Climate Forum for Construction on 27th of
August 2020.
This
year’s forum will be held online because of COVID-19. From the comfort of
your own chair, you will have the opportunity to hear the latest on the Nordic effort
on harmonization on climate emission, insights from the European commission,
and the importance of the Nordic construction sector's efforts for carbon
neutrality. You will also have the opportunity to join discussions and debates
with policy-makers and stakeholders from industry, finance sector and academia.
We will host a series of digital round table discussions about the most
relevant subjects for further Nordic harmonization effort.

conferences is organized by
the Danish Transport, Construction and Housing Authority
in
collaboration with the Nordic building authorities and the working group.

News from NORSUS (former Østfoldforskning), NorwayIn Norway
there is a large increase of interest in using EPDs. Several construction
product manufacturer use “EPD-generators” which allow for “project specific
EPD” based on requests from clients. The procedures for this is approved by the
program operator and those EPDs are not published. Some manufacturers have provided over than 10 times more project specific EPDs than those that are published.
In addition, some have integrated this tool to their BIM tool and by this
they can provide EPD for the total delivery to clients.

| News from the Nordic Swan Ecolabel
The Nordic
Swan Ecolabel started working on the next generation of the certification
criteria for new buildings. Climate impact of buildings will be even more
clearly integrated in the requirements which apply on a Nordic level, helping
actors and companies to use the same rules and coordinate their work in all
Nordic countries. Generation 4 of criteria will come out in 2021.
