PRODUCTION AREA OF ADVANCE | In-between spaces that provides potential for innovation21 May, Production Area of Advance held the seminar "Collaborate to compete: Sustainable production" at Lindholmen Science Center. Focus was on the platforms for collaboration between academia and industry; the competence centres linked to the Production Area of Advance, and Lund University's Division of Production and Materials which is a part of the same.
These platforms can be like in-between spaces where the potential for innovation can be found.
Both academic and industry partners showcased how collaboration can create significant impact and more sustainable production. But first, the theme was introduced by the three keynote speakers Susanne Ollila and Frances Sprei from Chalmers, and Maria Bernander from Volvo Cars. They each gave their perspectives, based on their expertise in collaboration, climate goals and sustainable production in industry. When the day was summarized, the panel concluded that collaboration and innovation are key to driving progress in research and education and more important than ever. | We hope you will find your own in-between spaces where you might find room to read the articles in this newsletter! Best regards from the Production team
