Another year has passed, a year we can summarise with a lot of commitment and networking between the GCUA 2030 universities. We are all looking forward to 2022, when we hopefully will have the chance to see new initiatives and even stronger cohesion in our work towards a more sustainable future.
2022 will give us not only PhD-courses, interesting seminars and fruitful workshops, it will also bring a chance to further develop all the collaborations started the past year.
GCUA 2030 is proud to present the two prize laurates of the GCUA 2030 Award 2021. The winner is Estee Vermeulen from Nelson Mandela University and second place goes to Lena-Mari Tamminen from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
The University of Chile will host a summer school in January for PhD-students from all member universities. The Summer school is made up of 5 different courses. These courses cover relevant fields related to agrifood systems, agriculture, animal sciences, biotechnology, biochemistry, and nanotechnology through the participation of leading national and international experts. All the courses will be held virtually in English.
The network GCUA 2030 is proud to present the four projects receiving GCUA 2030 seed money 2021.
The seed money were divided between four different projects, all collaborations between several GCUA 2030 member universities. This was a specific funding
allocated from SLU.
In mid-December the fourth General Assembly-meeting and STINT project meeting was held for member universities and STINT members. Several new developments were presented, including four new PhD courses
that will start in March and run until June 2022. It will be possible to take
all four courses as a package, or individually.
