Newsletter #11 -
Cross-border Talent Bridge
In just a few days, our project turns two! 🎉 We want to
thank all of you for your engagement, for keeping the momentum in our actions
and activities, and for staying focused on our shared goals. Together, we’re
showing how collaboration across sectors, organizations and borders can
strengthen the Greater Copenhagen Region - always with great energy and vibrant
cross-border collaboration.
Talking about collaboration, Voices from the project spotlights the people working behind the scenes in Cross-border Talent Bridge.
A great source of inspiration, reflections, insights and practical keys to
success for anyone working with talent attraction and retention.
Read on to explore upcoming events and activities in
August and September, or check the list on our website. One of the biggest
highlights is International Citizen Days Copenhagen, taking place 25–26
September. Don’t miss our fresh article highlighting the event and the power of
cross-border collaboration in creating a stronger talent hub in Greater
Copenhagen.
It’s one of 10 articles published over the past six
months, helping raise the visibility of Cross-border Talent Bridge and Greater
Copenhagen, while strengthening the region’s position as a connected and
attractive talent hub for international professionals.
And it’s reporting time! As Period 4 comes to a close
at the end of August, we’re busy summarizing what we’ve achieved together.
We’ll also soon meet with our co-funders, Interreg ÖKS, for a Mid-Term Meeting
to reflect on results, impact and what lies ahead.
With the project entering its final phase, our 11
September partner meeting at Medicon Village will focus on planning the year
ahead, shaping our strategies together with Future Place Leadership and laying
the foundation for long-term impact.
Hope you’re feeling recharged after the summer break
and eager to kick things off!
/ Viktoria & Martina

International Citizen Days Copenhagen 25-26 September
Our partner City of Copenhagen is bringing
International Citizen Days back to Copenhagen for another growing edition.
Since 2019, the event has evolved into a key meeting place for internationals,
organisations and communities across Greater Copenhagen, bringing together 100+
organisations and thousands of international residents.
It’s a great example of what regional collaboration
can achieve: connecting talent, organisations and communities across borders,
and making Greater Copenhagen feel more like one talent region.
Several Cross-border Talent Bridge partners will be
taking part. We’re proud to be part of this growing regional platform — and
look forward to seeing many of you in Copenhagen. 👉 Learn more about International Citizen Days Copenhagen |

10 articles in the last 6 months 📢As we wrap up the reporting for the project’s fourth
period, we’re especially proud to share that 10 articles have been published
over the past six months.
Each article helps raise the visibility of
Cross-border Talent Bridge and the Öresund region, while strengthening the
conversation around international talent, cross-border collaboration and
Greater Copenhagen as one connected talent region.
The latest in the series is The Local: How Greater
Copenhagen turned two countries into one talent hub - a great example of
how the story of our region is reaching an international audience.
“Rather than compete for talent on either side of the
Öresund, organisations in Denmark and Sweden are working together to position
the wider region as a single destination geared towards global talent.”

Looking ahead: Partner meeting at Medicon Village
On 11 September, our partners will come together at Medicon Village to look ahead to the final year of Cross-border Talent Bridge. With the project entering its final phase, the focus
will be on planning the year ahead, shaping our strategies together with Future
Place Leadership and creating the foundation for long-term impact.
What do we want to achieve during our final year? What
should we take forward? And how can the collaboration and knowledge built
through the project continue to create value beyond 2027?
A day to look ahead, align and shape the way forward -
and we look forward to sharing more of what’s to come! | | | | |

Reflections from Almedalen: Talent is the new infrastructure
🚀
At Almedalen, Cross-border Talent Bridge brought
together business, recruitment, innovation environments and the public sector
to discuss how we secure the talent needed for future innovation,
competitiveness and growth.
One message stood out: talent is the new
infrastructure. To compete globally, we need stronger collaboration and
attractive ecosystems where international talent can live, work and build
careers.
