Greetings from us all here in Sweden, where we are firmly embracing the
emergence of Spring! Within GCUA 2030 we also look forward to the promise of what’s
ahead, both with familiar activities continuing in the form of the mentorship scheme
and PhD courses (don’t miss below on enrolment for the first courses!), but
also ‘fresh growth’ in the form of the Climate Action Challenge which will
kick-off in autumn.
As a global learning forum for sustainable development GCUA 2030 is always
keen to receive input from all participating members, and we encourage you to
share any relevant news and events.
And so the coming months promise to be exciting ones for continued
interactions between partners and students within GCUA.
In January this year, Priscila Flores-Aguilar, Autonomous University of Queretaro, Mexico, hosted a short version of the GCUA 2030 -course "Sustainability in a globalized world" for researchers at her university. The course became a huge success among the participants as they learned more about sustainable development and Agenda 2030.
Welcome to a new round of the GCUA 2030 award! This award is a great opportunity for PhD-students or recently graduated PhD-students to communicate their research to a broad audience globally.
We are happy to say that the second cohort of the mentorship programme started in January with 20 new mentors and 20 new mentees eager to learn more and exchange knowledge with each other.
Several GCUA 2030 partners are currently developing a Climate Action Challenge. This is a hybrid activity that GCUA 2030 PhD students can either follow as a credited course or a freestanding activity.
The application will open soon so keep an eye on the website!
To be able to update the website and send all members information about events, interesting seminars and new reports coming out we need your help.
If you come across something you think might be interesting for the GCUA 2030 members, please fill in the form coming on the website in January and send it to GCUA@slu.se.
