On November 1, Mårten Hetta took up his new assignment as development manager for barn operations at VH. The assignment is newly established and a function in the new organization at the faculty. The goal of the assignment is to improve collaboration across department and faculty boundaries, in addition to promoting relations with stakeholders outside SLU.
Ultuna's
new campus plan outlines the long-term direction
The new
campus plan is valid for the period 2023-2040 and should be seen as a visionary
document. The plan emphasises Ultuna's significance as a green environment for
research, education, and innovation, but also as a place for meetings and
recreation. The campus
plan is a collaboration between SLU and Akademiska Hus.

Lena Holm receives ULS Educational Award
Lena Holm has been selected by the students as the recipient of the ULS Educational Award. The award will be presented at the Lucia Ball on December 9th this year.
Among the submitted justifications, we can read:
"Regardless of the subject, Lena always ensures that she arouses interest. We often leave Lena's lectures with the feeling that we have just discovered a new favourite subject and a desire to learn even more."
The ULS Educational Award was established in 1993 and is awarded to a teacher nominated by one or more students. The recipient is awarded a commemorative prize with engraved names of previous years' recipients.
Threats and
violence in close relationships with a connection to animals
The County
Administrative Board and SLU invited veterinarians and other personnel who work
in animal health care to learn to see the connection between animals and
threats and violence in close relationships. For an entire afternoon, those
interested gathered and listened to several invited guests.
In the faculty's newsletter you can read about current events relevant to you who are an employee at the VH Faculty. Head of Faculty Administration Caroline Carlström is responsible for the content. The newsletter is produced in cooperation with the internal editorial team in the Division of Communication.
The newsletters are usually issued in connection with faculty board meetings but not this issue. Next Faculty Board meeting is held 12-13 of December.
