2022 was a successful pilot year for InfraVis. Now it is time to turn InfraVis into a fully operational national research infrastructure. "Fully operational" is a stage that can only start by developing a deeper understanding of the data visualization needs of researchers all around Sweden.
That is why, we would like to invite you to fill in the InfraVis survey on researchers’ visualization needs.
The survey takes only five minutes of your time and it will ensure stronger visualization support for all researchers in Sweden.
Let's start 2023 by developing stronger visualization support for all of us! Thank you in advance for your support.

Upcoming events
Spectroscopic Data Processing and Analysis
Lunch webinar + a case study workshop
Curious about spectroscopic techniques and hyperspectral imaging? Join this webinar held by InfraVis application expert Carl Troein from the Lund node, demonstrating how to solve practical problems in spectroscopic data analysis.
The lunch webinar will be followed by a non-compulsory case study workshop where you have the opportunity to discuss issues in your spectroscopic data with Carl Troein.
When: 15th February
Lunch webinar: 12:00 – 13:00 / Case study workshop: 13:00 – 15:00
Join the 40th Swedish Symposium on Image Analysis & the 6th Swedish Symposium on Deep Learning - an opportunity to learn about the recent developments in the areas of image processing, computer vision, pattern recognition and related fields.
Visualization Center C presents their most recent advances regarding molecular visualization, including the opportunity for visualising molecular dynamics in the dome theatre.
Between 27th and 28th April, it’s time for InfraVis Days. This time InfraVis Days will be hosted by Linköping University and Visualization Center C at Campus Norrköping. InfraVis Days occur annually and they are an opportunity for the distributed InfraVis team to network, to review the progress and to plan future steps together so that we can continually offer improved visualization support to our users.
Meet InfraVis Application Experts
Nikita Singh, Uppsala University
Expert in industrial and medical image processing & AI
Throughout her career, Nikita hasbeen involved in industrial image processing for visual quality control, and in medical image analysis such as segmentation, feature extraction and classification using AI technologies.
Carl Troein, Lund University
Expert in 2D Spectroscopy analysis
Throughout his career, Carl has developed methods and interactive software for processing biological data as well as worked with modelling of biological systems, dimensional reduction and visualization of simulation results and small networks.
Both Carl and Nikita can
support and guide planning and execution of projects within their domains of expertise;
evaluate the feasibility of the set goals in relation to a proposed method;
apply state-of-the-art techniques and tools to characterize and visualize the result, and
