The interest in Swedish Life Cycle Center is increasing and 19 participants took part in the open information meeting about the Center that was held on September 14. The new Swedish Life Cycle Center Research strategy has been distributed among partners and interested organizations. The aim of the document is to strengthen the scientific profile of the Center. Life Cycle Talks – How can social life cycle assessment adress social sustainability? Welcome to Life Cycle Talks! A series of talks presenting the research front to keep you up to date with the science and application of the life cycle perspective. Our next guest is Mathias Lindkvist, Postdoctoral Researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. He will talk about how social life cycle assessment can address social sustainability. The course gives an in-depth orientation of LCA. It includes a broad range of LCA-related topics: the methodology, its application, its relation to other assessment tools, its role in decision-processes, etc. It is a collaboration between the partner universities within the Swedish Life Cycle Center (SLC): Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Chalmers University of Technology and KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Nordic Climate Forum for ConstructionOn 8 September the fourth Nordic Climate Forum for Construction was arranged by the Norwegian Building Authority and moderated by Maria Rydberg, Swedish Life Cycle Center. The Forum was livestreamed from Oslo and over 150 people joined the stream. The Forum is an annual event where the Nordic building authorities invites policymakers and stakeholders from industry, academia, and the finance sector to share and discuss recent policy development and building regulations concerning climate emissions.
