We are entering an exciting new chapter for the ESG Project. We are happy to welcome Rakhyun Kim, Jean-Frédéric Morin, Marie Claire Brisbois, Kanako Morita, and Kennedy Mbeva to our Scientific Steering Committee, and Steffen Bauer and Yixian Sun as our new co-chairs. At the same time, we extend our sincere thanks to outgoing members Chukwumerije Okereke, Aarti Gupta, Jonathan Pickering, Cristina Y. A. Inoue, and James Patterson, whose leadership and dedication have helped shape the Project and strengthen our global research community over the past years. Research Centre Central and Eastern Europe – CETIP recently hosted a series of co-creation events connecting science, creativity, and local knowledge in the Czech-Slovak Beskydy region. A key highlight was the opening of the exhibition Coexistence of Man and Nature – Our Beskydy, inviting visitors to reflect on the dynamic relationship between people and nature. At ESG 2026, members of the Ocean Taskforce came together to relaunch the network and chart its future direction. With new leadership, a renewed mission, and plans for future collaboration, the taskforce welcomes researchers interested in ocean governance, including an ECR to help coordinate the group's activities.
