We must all take collective responsibility for maintaining a safe environment. It is very important that you:

• maintain social distancing! (1.5 m)
• stay at home if you have symptoms of a cold or illness
• wash hands often and thoroughly or use hand sanitiser

There are lots of ideas among researchers and students at Lund University that could help us meet the societal challenges facing the world. 

That is why LU Innovation, together with Sparbanken Skåne, award prizes for Future Innovations every year. 

This year they are awarding a total of SEK 400 000 and a special prize – Future Innovation for Social Change – goes to innovative solutions that challenge traditional systems and contribute to solving social problems.

All students and employees of Lund University are welcome to apply, no later than 8 December 2020.

Turkey Beyond Borders: Critical Voices, New Perspectives Project Launch

Join us (online or live) for the project launch for “Turkey Beyond Borders: Critical Voices, New Perspectives”, a project supported by the Swedish Institute.  Project coordinator Dr. Pinar Dinc (Lund University) will come together with two members of the advisory board of the project: Dr. Deniz Erkmen (Özyeğin University), Dr. Olga S. Hünler (Freie Universität Berlin), to talk about the content and aims of the project and discuss academia in times of academic freedom violations in Turkey.

Everyday life on The West Bank

Freelance journalist and photographer Lena M Fredriksson has made several journalistic trips to the West Bank, to gather material for a photo documentary book about life under the prolonged occupation. In this seminar she shows photos from her journeys and tells stories about people living on the West Bank. 

How do they deal with the problems that the occupation brings? How do they resist, and what joys do they have? 

She also tells about her personal experiences and impressions from the journeys.

All seminars will be held on Zoom. Please make sure to register.
