Spring is here and we look forward to another amazing GCUA 2030 year. Several activities are under way, and first of all the Climate Action Challenge starting in March.
We have the three fantastic laureates in the GCUA 2030 Award and we also
would
like to welcome two new focal points for University of Chile.
Last but not least, the upcoming newsletters will emphasize some our amazing partners, this time Penn State University and Scotland Rural College.
Welcome to register for the GCUA 2030 Climate Action Challenge. The course will engage students in a case study activity as part of an international and interdisciplinary group. Together they will develop a Nature-based Solution for a specific location and socio-ecological system to mitigate climate change and/or the effects of climate change.

GCUA 2030 welcomes two new focal points representing University of Chile. Osvaldo Salazar Guerrero and Valentina Letelier Larrondo aim to work for a fruitful collaboration with the GCUA 2030 members to strengthen students and postdocs in sustainable development.
"I am eager to foster a meaningful connection between our PhD
postgraduate students at the University of Chile and the GCUA 2030 network of
university partners. By promoting the diverse array of activities offered by
GCUA 2030, we aim to engage our students actively. Additionally, we would like to
provide the GCUA 2030 student network with the opportunity to share our insights and
experiences in sustainable development from the Global South" - says Osvaldo Salazar.
News from the partner universities
To learn more about all the amazing partners we have in GCUA 2030 we invite one or two universities to write in each newsletter. This time we can read a piece each from Scotland Rural College and PennState University.
Scotland Rural College granted the power to award degrees

As well as Aberdeen, SRUC has campuses in Edinburgh, West Lothian, Fife, and Dumfries and Galloway."
