Breaking New Ground: 'Living the Sustainability Idea' sets path for student empowerment
After two semesters, students showcase their unique sustainability initiatives during Lund's Sustainability Week on 9 April, after following LUSEM's voluntary track 'Living the Sustainability Idea' where focus is on a personal sustainability challenge.
Demographer Martin Dribe is one of Lund University’s new Wallenberg Scholars
Professor Martin Dribe is one of twelve researchers at Lund University who have been appointed Wallenberg Scholars.
Martin Dribe, Professor of Economic History at LUSEM and Director of the Centre for Economic Demography, will as a Wallenberg Scholar focus on the long-term development of demographic disparities and the factors that contribute to inequality in people’s lives – from finances to family, children, health, longevity and neighbourhood.
Honorary mention to Phil Flores for research on micromobility and green innovations
Dr. Phil Flores completed his doctoral studies at LUSEM in the autumn of 2023. Now, the Lund University Agenda 2030 Award extends an honorary mention to Flores for his research on micromobility and green innovations.
International collaborations in development research
LUSEM is announcing a call to finance short-term visits in Lund for an international collaborator to work on a well-defined research project within development research. The aim of the call is to extend LUSEM’s international footprint, and the funds may be used to initiate or deepen a research collaboration.
Apply now: Courses in teaching and learning in higher education
AHU (Division for Higher Education Development) offers courses aiming for that all teaching faculty members are to complete at least 5 weeks (7,5 credits) of courses in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (högskolepedagogik). New courses are now open for application. Deadline 15 May.
Afternoon Talk about new conditions for developing Lund Innovation District
Welcome to the seventh afternoon Talk in Lund Innovation District! This time it is about Lund Innovation District and the innovation politics that effects the way it is organised, governed, and financed.
Academic speed dating with Human Rights Profile Area
Welcome to spend an afternoon with colleagues to brainstorm on new research ideas related to human rights!
The aim of academic speed dating is to facilitate new contacts and collaborations through speed-talks! This can be a great format to promote new ideas, spark curiosity, and find researchers with interests similar to yours. Speed dating is open to researchers, post-docs, doctoral students and teaching staff.
Canvas has won the procurement of the new learning platform. The national network Sunet (Swedish University Computer Network) conducted the procurement. Lund University will call off Sunet's framework agreement.
The Sustainability week is an annual event in Lund organised as a joint venture by Lund University and Lund municipality. This year both researchers and students from LUSEM (Lund University School of Economics and Management) participate in several very interesting events. Don't miss out!
It's time to submit your paper for participation at NRWC 2024.
Retail Research at Campus Helsingborg, Lund University in Sweden. The main conference will take place on the 6 – 7 November and a doctoral colloquium will take place on the 5 November. The conference this year invites submissions that explore the role of imagination and imagined futures, (or pasts) in contemporary retailing. To facilitate discussion and presentation of very recent work, full papers are encouraged but not required. Deadline May 13.
