New calls for interdisciplinary research on the Middle East and writing retreats at CMES!
While the Covid-19 pandemic continues to restrict physical interaction that we all long for, CMES is trying to look ahead and stimulate exciting research on the Middle East by announcing new calls. Lund University scholars are now invited to submit proposals for a three-year research project. CMES is also testing a new idea of “internal sabbatical” for Lund University scholars who can apply for writing retreats at the House on Finngatan 16 with its pleasant surrounding and garden in the autumn.
CMES has had a fantastic start and digital outreach with its new seminar series. Coming up here in March are two super topical research seminars on virtual peace diplomacy in Syria and Yemen during COVID-19 lockdown and on the necessity of rethinking environmental security in the Middle East.
Also do not miss our public seminar in the end of March on the Arab Spring 10 Years On, which will be discussed by a highly distinguished panel of leading Middle East experts. You are all warmly welcome to join the digital discussions!
Stay tuned on CMES website and by subscribing to the Middle East Forum Newsletter!
Keep safe and healthy!
