Att få propeller och skrov att fungera optimalt ihop har alltid varit ett problem inom sjöfarten. Men Jennie Andersson har en lösning. I sin licentiatavhandling presenterar hon en beräkningsmetod som kan få ett fartyg att spara upp till tio procent av sin bränsleförbrukning.
She gets propellers and hulls to work optimally together
Getting the propulsion system to work optimally has always been a problem in shipping. But now there is a solution. In her licentiate dissertation, Jennie Andersson presents a calculation method that will allow a ship to save five percent of its fuel consumption.
Nu är det klart. DenCity, projektet som utvecklar smarta och hållbara transporter för förtätade städer, får en tredje och skarp fas. Det innebär bland annat att en flytande, mobil återvinningscentral testas i Göteborgs hamn.
Now it's decided. DenCity, the project that develops smart and sustainable transport for urban densification, is getting a third phase. This means, among other things, that a mobile recycling center is being tested in the port of Göteborg.
Härom veckan meddelade Norges näringsminister att företagsklustret Sustainable Autonomous Mobility Systems är ett av tio som kommer att ingå i programmet Norwegian Innovation Clusters.
Nu efterlyses en motsvarande satsning på automatisering och sjöfart i Sverige.
Last week it was revealed which industry and research environments will be part of the Norwegian Innovation Clusters program.
Among the ten accepted is the company cluster Sustainable Autonomous Mobility Systems, SAMS.
