Startup
Sweden was initiated by Tillväxtverket in 2016 with a vision to make the
important networks of the startup scene accessible to founders all over the
country, offering entrepreneur-centred support to early-stage startups and
scaleups.
Since then,
Startup Sweden has supported a large number of companies from all over the
country get access to hundreds of new contacts, and meetings with potential
investors, customers, partners, and media. We're proud to say that the startups
that have participated in our early-stage bootcamps and international Market
Access programs, are now valued to 1,5 Billion Euro, employing more than 3 700
people!
By the end
of this year, Startup Sweden will be discontinued as a program within
Tillväxtverket. From all of us in the Startup Sweden team, we want to thank
each and every one of you who've crossed path with us during these 7 years. All
the entrepreneurs who have joined our programs with such energy and ambition,
the investors, journalists, experts and coaches who have so generously shared
your knowledge with us, and our network of partners - we couldn't have done
this without all of you.
For years,
Sweden has been praised as a leading country within the digital space, being
the home to some of the tech world's most talked about innovations. We believe that
an open, inclusive and diverse ecosystem is key in order for Sweden to continue
being an innovative nation, and that we need to build that ecosystem together.
